Audi A3 2012: Example of the Exquisite Sensibilities

The current Audi A3 has been sitting in showrooms since 2003 and the years have not been kind to it so a brand new car, the Audi A3, originally expected last year, will finally show up at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show, most likely as a hatchback first. Audi A3 2012 comes with a choice of two 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engines. 2.0T Audi A3 versions have 200 horsepower and are available with a 6-speed manual or 6-speed dual-clutch automated manual transmission that behaves much like an automatic.

The 2.0 TDI has a 140-horsepower turbo diesel engine and the automated manual only while all Audi A3 have front-wheel drive. Audi’s quattro all-wheel drive is available on 2.0T Audi A3 models equipped with the automated-manual transmission. Several option packages are offered on all Audi A3; The Premium Plus Package includes a power driver seat, wireless cell-phone link, aluminum interior trim, and xenon headlights, the Sport Package includes a sport suspension, sport seats, and 18-inch wheels.

The Cold Weather Package Audi A3 includes heated front seats, mirrors, and washer nozzles while the Convenience Package has rear-obstacle detection, a Bose-brand audio system, rain-sensing wipers, and automatic headlights. The Titanium Sport Package includes Alcantara/leather sport seats and specific Audi A3 2012 interior and exterior trim.

The Audi A3 2012 safety features include ABS, traction control, antiskid system, front-side airbags, curtain-side airbags, and rear-side airbags. Some high-tech Audi A3 features include Bluetooth phone connectivity, light and rain sensors, and satellite radio and dual-zone automatic climate control.
